Week 2 Day 3

By now we have all learned the importance of remaining in Christ's Word or holding to His teaching, not just a one time action. Have you ever picked up your bible and when you finished you felt like whew this is done as if it was a chore that was completed. Remaining in His Word or holding to His teaching, means His word is a major part of your life. Today we will learn the third reason for quiet time with God.

In the list below fill in the blanks below with the first two reason for quiet time with God that we learned in Days 1 and 2

Reasons for a quiet time
3. To bring needs before God.

Below are Bible verses read the verses and the match the references to the prayer promises.

Phil 4:6-7- "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus"

Ps. 34:17- The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.

Heb. 4:16- " Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

Isa. 40:31- Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

___1. Philippians 4:6-7 a. God renews our strength as we wait on Him.
___2. Psalm 34: 17 b. In Prayer we find grace in our need.
___3. Hebrews 4:16 c. God delivers the righteous from trouble.
___4. Isaiah 40:31 d. As we make our request known to God, he gives us peace.

Being able to recall verses as you need them is important in a Christian's daily walk.

Tracing Answers To Prayer
Another way to stay connected with God is to keep track of the way that He meets your needs. Too often we approach his throne with a request and forget to thank Him for the way he answers our prayers. One way that we can keep track of your request and answers is by keeping a Prayer-Covenant List. This is also a good way for us to remember what God has done for us.

Prayer-Covenant List (example) Fill in the chart with every request to keep track of all God has done.
